Meet Peter

Peter Potena, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Peter graduated from The University of Scranton in 2014 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, after previously earning his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science in 2011. From there he started working in outpatient physical therapy with a focus in orthopedic conditions.

After graduating from PT school, Peter knew there was far more he could learn about best practice in physical therapy. Therefore, he enrolled in an APTA credentialed Orthopedic Residency Program, graduating in 2015. He then became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) after passing the board examination in 2016.

Still wanting more and after a change in jobs, he next enrolled in an ABPTRFE credentialed Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program. Over the course of 3 years and countless hours, he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT), something less than 5% of all physical therapist achieve in their career.

After getting experience and training elsewhere, he returned to Lebanon County in 2021 to start working at Potena Physical Therapy.

Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, dog Luna, and family. Further, he enjoys working on house projects, watching movies in his home theater, working out and occasionally crashing his dad’s beach house.
